The aim of this Science and Technology Cooperation \u2013 SINO-MALTA Fund, is to intensify scientific collaboration between the two countries to strengthen R&amp;D activities, technology transfer and to carry out comprehensive, steady, and long-term cooperation through support of researchers\u2019 mobility and the networking of industries, universities and research institutions to generate mutual-beneficial and win-win research.<\/p>\n<p>For the SINO-MALTA Fund 2025 Joint Call, the eligible thematic areas are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Health<\/li>\n<li>Green and Blue Transitions<\/li>\n<li>Digital Technologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Funding &amp; Project Details for the SINO-MALTA<\/strong><strong> 2025 Call<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Call Budget: <\/strong>\u20ac1,200,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Funding:<\/strong>\u00a0Up to\u00a0\u20ac200,000 for the Malta-based consortium (at least one Malta-based partner).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Project Duration:<\/strong>\u00a0Up to 24 months<\/li>\n<li><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a030th June 2025, 23:59 PM CET<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technology Readiness Levels (TRL):<\/strong>\u00a01\u20137<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who Can Apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each consortium must include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least\u00a0<strong>one eligible Malta-based Private Entity. <\/strong><em>Public entities and Research and Knowledge Dissemination Organisations (RKDOs) are also eligible to apply as lead or partner, provided that at least one eligible Malta-based private entity is involved.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>At least\u00a0<strong>one eligible China-based entity<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Projects should be\u00a0<strong>balanced<\/strong>\u00a0in terms of workload and funding distribution between the two partners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility and Application Process\u00a0<\/strong>(click links to download\/view the documentation)<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, applicants must be a Malta-based entity with an operating base in Malta, in accordance with the SINO-MALTA Fund guidelines. <strong>Private Entities<\/strong> must comply with the <strong>State Aid National Rules for Participation<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/xjenzamalta.mt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/SINO-MALTA-2025-National-Rules-State-Aid-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to download the National Rules of Participation (State Aid)<\/a>, while <strong>Public Entities and Research and Knowledge Dissemination Organisations<\/strong> must adhere to the <strong>Non-State Aid National Rules for Participation<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/xjenzamalta.mt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/SINO-MALTA-2025-National-Rules-Non-State-Aid.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to download National Rules of Participation (Non-State Aid).<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must complete and submit the Application Form <a href=\"https:\/\/xjenzamalta.mt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/SINO-MALTA-2025-App-Form.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to download Application Form<\/a> duly signed and supported by the required Annexes.
