{"id":7790,"date":"2025-10-28T11:07:44","date_gmt":"2025-10-28T11:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/xjenzamalta.mt\/?p=7790"},"modified":"2026-02-05T07:10:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T07:10:14","slug":"technology-development-programme-tdp-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/xjenzamalta.mt\/mt\/2025\/10\/28\/technology-development-programme-tdp-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Technology Development Programme (TDP) 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Il- <strong>Technology Development Programme (TDP)<\/strong> is a <strong>national funding programme<\/strong> designed to support <strong>research, development, and innovation (RDI)<\/strong> through strong <strong>collaboration between public entities and industry partners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of TDP is to accelerate the <strong>development of innovative products and services<\/strong>, enabling them to progress from a minimum <strong>Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 4 to TRL 7<\/strong> within the project lifecycle.<\/p>\n<p>Successful applicants may benefit from <strong>funding of up to \u20ac500,000<\/strong> for projects with a duration of <strong>24 to 36 months<\/strong>, within the following <strong>SMART Specialisation Areas<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aviation and Aerospace<\/li>\n<li>Future Digital Technology<\/li>\n<li>Health and Wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>Marine and Maritime Technology<\/li>\n<li>Smart Manufacturing<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable Use of Resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Support through the Commercial Voucher Programme (CVP)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants would also need to apply (unless recently completed) for the <strong>Commercial Voucher Programme (CVP) <\/strong>to access additional funding of up to <strong>\u20ac14,000, <\/strong>supporting preparatory activities such as:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Intellectual Property Check<\/strong> \u2013 verification of novelty and IP potential.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Commercial Viability Test<\/strong> \u2013 market research and economic feasibility assessment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This component must be completed within the first six months of the project\u2019s lifecycle.
