This initiative aims to foster cooperation in <strong>science, technology, and innovation<\/strong> between Malta and Turkey by supporting researchers and innovators in strengthening their scientific expertise and networks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This Call will focus on two distinct pillars:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pillar 1: PRIMA Thematic Areas<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These areas include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Management of Water<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Farming System<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Agro-Food Value Chai<\/strong><strong>n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pillar 2: Shared National Priority areas<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;\">Smart Manufacturing<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Health<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funding &amp; Project Details for the Xjenza Malta-<\/strong><strong> T\u00dcB\u0130TAK 2026 Joint Call<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Funding:\u00a0Up to\u00a0\u20ac100,000 for the Malta-based consortium (at least one Malta-based partner). <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Project Duration:\u00a0Up to 24 months\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a05 June 2026, 23:59 PM CET<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Technology Readiness Levels (TRL):<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>1\u20137. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Who Can Apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each consortium must include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least\u00a0<strong>one eligible Malta-based entity<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>At least\u00a0<strong>one eligible Turkey-based entity<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Projects should be\u00a0<strong>balanced<\/strong>\u00a0in terms of workload and funding distribution between the two partners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility and Application Process\u00a0<\/strong>(click links to download\/view the documentation)<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, applicants must be a Malta-based entity with an operating base in Malta, in accordance with the Xjenza Malta-T\u00dcB\u0130TAK guidelines. <strong>Private Entities<\/strong> must comply with the <strong>State Aid National Rules for Participation<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/xjenzamalta.mt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/National-Rules-Xjenza-Malta-TUBITAK-State-Aid.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click to Download<\/a>), while <strong>Public Entities and Research and Knowledge Dissemination Organisations<\/strong> must adhere to the <strong>Non-State Aid National Rules for Participation<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/xjenzamalta.mt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/National-Rules-Xjenza-Malta-TUBITAK-Non-State-Aid.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click to Download<\/a>).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Malta-based applicants must also follow the\u00a0<strong>Xjenza Malta-<\/strong><strong>T\u00dcB\u0130TAK<\/strong><strong> 2026 Call Text. <\/strong>(<a href=\"https:\/\/xjenzamalta.mt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Joint-Call-Text.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click to view Call Text.<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must complete and submit the National Administrative Form (<a href=\"https:\/\/xjenzamalta.mt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/National-Administrative-Form-2026.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click to download<\/a>) &amp; the Joint Application Form (<a href=\"https:\/\/xjenzamalta.mt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Joint-Application-form.doc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click to download<\/a>) duly signed and supported by the required Annexes.
