The Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership is a Horizon Europe co-funded partnership. It constitutes a network of 30 countries and the European Commission that enables an unprecedented effort to pool research and innovation investments and align national programmes at pan-European scale.<\/p>\n
Xjenza Malta, as one of the Research Funding Organisations launching this Joint Transnational Co-Funded Call for Malta based entities conducting R&I projects addressing challenges on the following priority areas:<\/p>\n

- Transitioning blue economy sectors for sustainability and strategic autonomy;<\/li>\n
- Managing sea uses through digital and ecosystem-based approaches;<\/li>\n
- Promoting sustainable blue bioresources;<\/li>\n
- Building resilience in coastal communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
Malta-Based Entities are eligible for funding, with the option of requesting up to \u20ac500,000 to participate in a SBEP proposal consortium*.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Pre-proposal submission deadline \u2013 16 November 2025, 15:00 CET<\/strong><\/p>\n
Apart from the pre-proposal submission by the Project Coordinator on the EPSS, each National applicant shall be required to submit a National Application Form to\u00a0eusubmissions.xjenzamalta@gov.mt<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0by 16th<\/sup>\u00a0November 2026\u00a0at 23:59 CET.<\/strong><\/p>\n
