Xjenza Malta is hosting an online Information session for local researchers, private enterprises and public entities in preparation for recently launched Interregional Innovation Investment (I3) Instrument Strand 1 and 2a calls.

Xjenza Malta will be sharing success stories from past I3 projects and guidance on how Xjenza Malta can support local participants interested in this programme.

The I3 Instrument supports the commercialisation and scale-up of interregional innovation projects in shared or complementary Smart Specialisation (S3) areas, helping regions collaborate across European value chains and bring innovative solutions closer to market.

• Strand 1 focuses on supporting mature interregional innovation investments aimed at strengthening the competitiveness and resilience of European value chains through cooperation between regions with shared smart specialisation priorities.
• Strand 2a specifically supports the development of value chains in less developed and transition regions, promoting innovation diffusion, technology uptake, and stronger integration into European value chains.
