Xjenza Malta is bringing together key stakeholders from across Malta’s research, innovation and public sectors for the R&I Xjenza Malta Thematic Funding Event.
The event will provide a platform to launch and showcase three strategic thematic initiatives developed in collaboration with national partners. Spanning health, digital innovation and sustainable agriculture, these programmes reflect a shared commitment to addressing national priorities through research, innovation and cross-sector collaboration.
Thematic initiatives:
The 3rd Cancer Research Programme
Developed in collaboration with the Cancer Research Innovation Hub Malta (CRIHM), this initiative builds on the evolution and achievements of Xjenza Malta’s cancer research funding portfolio. The session will introduce the new call and highlight the scope, development and success stories emerging from previous initiatives.
Digital Innovation Programme and Digital Vouchers Programme
In collaboration with the Malta Digital Innovation Authority (MDIA), Xjenza Malta will present the next phase of its digital innovation support. The session will reflect on the successful collaboration between the two organisations and introduce the new Digital Innovation Programme and Digital Vouchers Programme.
Water Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture Research Programme
Developed in collaboration with Riżorsi Agrikoli Malta (RAM), this new thematic initiative will explore opportunities for research and innovation at the intersection of water resources and sustainable agriculture. The session will outline the scope for collaboration and present the objectives of the new programme.
Bringing collaboration into action
The event will feature addresses from major representatives of the partner organisations, programme presentations, reflections on successful collaborations and opportunities for stakeholders to connect.
The morning will conclude with networking refreshments, providing participants with an opportunity to engage directly with the organisations and stakeholders involved in shaping these initiatives.
